Mascot Canada was a brand name used by the Hudson's Bay Company, a Canadian retail business. The brand was used for a line of clothing and outdoor gear, popular in the mid-20th century. The mascot of the brand was a beaver, which was prominently featured on the products. The beaver became a symbol of Canada's wilderness and natural resources and was adopted as the national animal of the country in 1975. Today, the Hudson's Bay Company still sells outdoor clothing and gear under its own name, but the Mascot Canada brand is no longer in use.
